Static code: free forever, no watermark.

How to make it

  1. Enter your link below. The code you download contains your link directly, not our short link.
  2. Style it with your colors and logo.
  3. Download PNG or SVG. That's it: no account, no trial, no expiry date.

Why QR codes "expire" elsewhere

A QR code can't expire by itself. When a code stops working, it's usually because the generator put its own short link inside your code and turned that link off when a free trial ended or a payment failed. Printed menus, packaging and signs then lead to an error or a sign-up page.

Our promise for dynamic codes

Dynamic codes have to use a short link, because that's what lets you change the destination. With QR Code Desk, a dynamic code keeps redirecting to its last destination even if you cancel or your payment fails. If you have more codes than the Free plan includes, you can't change their destinations until you upgrade again. The only exceptions are codes that break our acceptable use rules.

When to use a dynamic code

Use a dynamic code instead of a static one if the link might change. You print the code once, and change where it goes from your account at any time. You also see how many people scanned it, from which city and on which phone.

Frequently asked questions

Do static QR codes ever expire?

No. A static code stores your link directly in the pattern. It works as long as the link itself works.

Why did my QR code stop working?

Most likely it was a dynamic code from a service that deactivates codes when a trial or subscription ends. Our guide Why did my QR code stop working? explains how to check and fix it.

Do your dynamic codes expire if I stop paying?

No. They keep redirecting to their last destination. If you have more codes than the Free plan's 3, you can't change where they point until you upgrade again.
